Actually solar can compete and in a few years time it is likely that solar will be very competitive, given recent advances. Origin/Micron venture looks very interesting. However I still think that fuel cells have a big part to play but they can't keep still. Improvements in longevity and reliablility must continually be made and if CFU are able, then in 2 years time we wil be happy little holders.
Please DYOR and all this is educated speculation; basically the same thing those nerds were doing (still are) when they started playing with fuel cells all those years ago.
