Historically it wasn't uncommon for a Collie coal miner to retire then die within year. My work mates father and lots of his generation died 1 year after retirement.
Will be interesting what the majority of Collie residents say given the option of a much safer cleaner high paying job.
Its easy for people with no skin in the game to have a strong opinion. The plant build will inject serious capital into the area.
When the Indian coal miner went broke it took a lot of local Collie contractors out.
Lets have an adult discussion about nuclear in Collie that's past we don't like it because we don't like it.
