Not just for me, but also for the country's largest major power utilities, which are walking back from wind + solar

In the absence of evidence that show that wind and solar projects generate superior returns, I am left to the view that they don't. Otherwise we would see those favourable numbers published on a widespread basis.
If you believe that renewables' investment returns do exceed the cost of capital, please present the facts about the investment return profile of a representative basket of renewable projects.
(PS. Audited financials, if you please, as opposed to ideological, non-factual reporting from the ABC )
