The reason Dutton started talking small modular nuclear reactors is because that's what is being built to power AI data centers.
The power of AI intelligence is directly related to how big data storage is and computing power size is.
The new data centers currently being build and planned use so much power they need their own reactor.
Google is spending $50 Billion a year on AI, the biggest infrastructure investment in human history, all powered by nuclear.
But Google algorithms push nuclear bad, environmental disaster imminent, farming bad, sensible immigration numbers bad.
I understand powering all of Australia on nuclear would produce around 5 semi trailers of waste per year. How much waste will batteries, panels and wind generators produce each year?
Its obvious the numbers being stated by both the pro and anti nuclear proponents are rubbish. And if you stating publicly that it cheap or expensive you are a flogger.
The only thing Dutton said that sounds right on nuclear is we need to have an adult conversation, which the anti nuclear floggers on the left are incapable of having.
