It would be nice to get some further details on the J.V. proposal to save us all this speculation, because when I read the term "earn in" I picture an option for a company to earn a proportion of a project after funding a high risk activity, such as funding drilling/exploration for a junior mining company.
To be given an option to "earn in" to a shovel ready project such as Donald by committing to fund a proportion of CAPEX is far lower risk for the option holder than providing funding for speculative exploration, as if there is no FID there will be no call for the CAPEX funding.
Maybe I'm just jumping at shadows here, but IMHO the E.F./BSE deal has reduced the incentive for E.F. to sign off on the Donald J.V. as a straight risk sharing proposition...DYOR & GLTAH! .
