Energy Fuels uranium mill permit cleared by Colorado regulators.

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment director Dr. Chris Urbina on Thursday denied an environmental group's appeal of a decision to grant a permit for construction of a uranium mill in southwestern Colorado, but said he will consider their testimony.

Urbina's executive order clears the way for a final decision on Energy Fuels request for a radioactive materials license for a proposed uranium and vanadium mill near Nucla. That decision is expected in April.

"Even though the Sheep Mountain Alliance appeal is being denied, the department will give serious consideration to the testimony provided" in recent hearings and "will continue to listen to diverse and comprehensive testimony from all interested parties regarding this application," Urbina's letter said.
