Shadow Home Affairs Minister James Patersonhas criticised the Albanese government because energy prices are “out ofcontrol” and “among the worst” in the developed world.
AnthonyAlbanese will unveil a policy similar to the US Inflation Reduction Act, whichwill see increased government intervention in the economy.
The PM will announce the Future Made in Australia Act today.
“Energyprices are out of control and among the worst in the developed world,” MrPaterson told Sky News Australia.
“Howon earth can you be internationally competitive; how on earth can you makethings here if you’re constantly driving up energy prices with an ideologicalapproach to our energy system, ruling out reliable baseload affordable powerlike nuclear energy and instead having a renewable-only approach.
