My take is simple.
the coal industry is looking for future avenues to sell their black rocks. The government has an open door to the coal industry. They want the votes.
totally uneconomical method of creating H2 and the government will throw millions at it because its coal .
H2 and Li will be used as energy storage along with V
IMO
i read a proposal where H2 will be use to create the power to recharge EVs. This will bypass having to upgrade grid power.
