    i spent a lot of time in Germany and have been to most of the camps,officially and unofficialy

    the simplest explanation i can give to your question is,
    imagine if this happened in Australia and you were aboriginal or from a poor working class family which most of the victims in Germany and elsewhere were

    no passport,no money and no contacts anywhere else in the world and no way of crossing borders,many thousands of those who had any of these did in fact get out,those without were just helpless souls with nowhere to turn

    might seem hard to believe in an age were travel is cheap and accessible to all,but that was not the case then
