Thanks Smallfish for your input. I wanted to know if anyone knew how long well's have been drilled. You have answered that question.

I will share something that I was told yesterday from a friend that has just returned from the Beetaloo Basin, drilling our last two wells.
He is some kind of engineer and fly's around to where the drill is happening. On his way to Port Campbell or Otway basin. Does lots of work in North West shelf and Asia. He holds no shares in TBN as he is very conservative.

I asked about the drill crew as to whether they were yank tanks, of which he replied all of them. His comments and not my view were that they were going flat out to drill the wells in record time and hence they had issues with losing the bit or tool and side tracked and also the issue with the last well.
"if they weren't going so fast that might not have happened".

My view is that we want to know how fast we can drill and that's how we learn.

He spoke about "torque" a few times when I mentioned that there was a possibility they were looking at 10km wells. He mentioned it again when talking about trying to go so fast.
