We have the same potential for the cheapest gas in the world with abundant supplies and the only reason that it is not cheap is due to policy from Canberra.
I have run my Ford on gas for the last 5 years and although I have only traveled 60000 KMs I have calculated a saving of $8000 in that time. There is no apparent loss of power and unless you look at the LPG light on the dash there is no indication that it is running on gas or petrol
With Australians current carbon pricing and green house policy costing obscene amounts of money for a un-measurable amount of change if any, the lack of direction from Canberra in instigating a transport gas policy is another incredible blunder.
With the distances traveled by all transport in Australia we would cut at least 50%, on costs, pollution and fuel imports.
