You said it correctly in the first line DTrad., that is "we are not at war with Islam"
We in fact are at war against terror. Terror has been used by a range of parties/groups both in the past and now and all such terror must be condemned and opposed. But for someone to say we are at war with Islam when you yourself have made it clear we are not and it is only some islamists engaging in terrorism, to me implies the author of we are at war with Islam is generalising based on either race,religion or culture in a racist way. The poster made no distinction between terrorists and non terrorists.
