One that makes me cringe is that these days, nearly all reporters will say an aeroplane has "touched down".
"Touch down" is what the lunar lander did. Aeroplanes "land"
And don't get me started on the "aeroplane /airplane" thing. Most reporters under 35 seem to have adopted the US usage.
