I really would like to think that they have stopped the buyback because of an imminent acquisition.
However, volume has completely dried up on MGX which is the opposite of what I would expect with an imminent announcement - usually you start to see some uptick in traded volumes before an announcement and I don't think that MGX (or indeed the counterparty to any deal) as being so exceptional that they would not have at least one or two insiders who might "talk in their sleep".
Don't get me wrong, I am hanging onto my holdings in expectation that they will announce something of significance to get this share moving again. But whilst I would love "imminent" I am not so sure at the moment, and the lack of buyback activity could be just something far more mundane as new Chair and a change of mind without bothering to keep us informed.
