I think it is a complete allusion that they have their sights on an acquisition. The cessation of the BB post the new Chairman has nothing to do with cash preservation ... $10m in the scheme of things is really quite trivial and to boot, the $10m was pennies from heaven anyway (... another insurance claim!)

My sense is that because the mothership is unsure of how the "trade war" might unfold, it's putting on hold and and all capital movements including investments in foreign countries. I expect it is assessing what minerals it might need or ought to strategically acquire if for no other reason than to get further up the Orange Wombat's nose!
