Finally, at last, I thought we could expect something more from the minister now charged with the TOL decision. A week is plenty of time to review what clearly was no NEW information. The longer it goes on from here with no decision, the more it looks like the decision is not his but is owing to political pressure. If this man has any political ambitions in Malaysia, and he does seem to have the potential to offer much to Malaysia in terms of agriculture and development, his decision has to be now. Otherwise, this country that has such lofty 2020 goals will find itself unable to move forward without FDI. Any western company would have to be retarded to put up with this kind of crap. There are just too many other options for western FDI where the government will not tolerate such obstruction time and time again. This Lynas Malaysian fiasco needs to be written up as a book showing the implications of a pathetic combination of corporate ineptness (yes, Lynas flunked in terms of cultural literacy) coupled with a developing country with a problem-plagued development program.
