I remember a Lebanese bloke that ran a take away food shop in North Albury in 1988.

And I remember him telling me at the time, of his experiences in Lebanon, where he, as a member of one of the various factions there at the time, would round up members of conflicting groups and have to shoot them by firing squad.

And he told me, that sometimes he knew those that he was about to shoot, so when the order to fire was given, (because of conscience and fear), he would shoot away from them, ... but they still died.

He then said, that since being in Australia, he was so glad and thankful to have police controlling law and order, and if he did something wrong and came to authority's attention, he was OK with that too.

Doesn't seem like there's many around now in the ME immigrants, that appreciate somewhere safe for themselves and families to live now.

Maybe all Muslims should be given a free return trip to Syria, to show them what hell could be like, or what a good place Australia is, if they want to return.
