So reading the articlae it appears they have got some land. Where is it ? Anyone found it on the DMP tenures yet? If close to ORN could be interesting.

The situation is interestig. With Leinster and many others probably closing down soon it begs the question where is NiWest going to get feed from ? BHP is dumping this asset. Why would a buyer come in if feed could be a problem?

I bet Vale is closely watching the Fraser range outcome and this is the key (forget RIO). If Vale is looking in the Fraser range and by implication believes there is more Ni there then they are likely looking at NiWest, and most certainly SIR to provide feedstock. But they will need more than SIR can provide to keep NiWest going.

The other big gorilla in the room of course is Glencore.
