entitlement bltra

I purchase blt on 14 apr 2011 and in the share register on the 19th may 2011.I was told i am not entitle to BLTRA.
as a)"ex date" (date share quote ex rights) 13 april 11
b) Proposed record date to identify shareholders entitled to participate in the rights issue (the record date) 19th April 2011.
I thought i am entitle to BLTRA.any comments

Am I reading it wrongly about my entitlement.
I e-mail Mr Rawlings and spoke to him (Very helpful) and investigating my situation.
