I had to follow up with my super fund and play hard ball - as the Industry fund (hostplus) T&Cs were fuzzy if I would be able to participate.
I've since received notification that I am able, but suspect it would not have come without a prompt
For a smsf, you should have no issues, but worth a call to follow up asap
