There's some wild theories floating around as to why all the gold is coming back to the US. All the usual commentators from Alasdair, Eric , Dave, Andy, (you know them,,)
The tariff story doesn't hold water to me.
One that makes the most sense to me is the one about Gold Backed Bonds (A la "Bessent" and "Shelton") without a coupon. No interest to pay might help their budget a little??
So much info floating around regarding gold that may not be there, or is leased or some other hypothecation, encumbrance etc. (auditing that will take forever and an army of Elon's). And silver apparently in a worse condition. Banks are up to their necks in shorts (for whom?)
LBMA running out of everything... Delivery times etc.. Pretty exciting times for PM holders and stackers in general..
