I have a question that I don’t know the answer to. Webjet recently had an entitlements offer and I thought that I could buy shares at the market price and then buy more of the shares at the offier price of 1.70.
It appears that this isn’t possible. it appears that you need to own the shares when the offer is released.
I called the company on the document for the officer and they said the shares I purchased aren’t eligible, even though I purchased them through CMC prior to offer date. see there seems to be a lag between the time they are purchased and you own them.
does anyone know the details about this? About why there’s a difference between the time you purchase online and then when you “own” them.
I know I sound dumb but I’d love to know what this is all about
