environmental extremism is new communism

Czech president Vaclav Klaus has warned the US Congress that environmental extremism "is the new communism". He said that "as someone who had lived under communism most of my life" environmental extremism was the "biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity".

He also said: "The so-called climate change and especially man-made climate change has become one of the most dangerous arguments aimed at distorting human efforts and public policies in the whole world."
