I wonder if Tiehm's buckwheat is found on the North basin. I can't recall seeing anything about that either way.
If it grows on the North basin, then maybe the plant is not at major risk if the South basin is mined and satisfactory preservation/migration strategies are feasible.
If it isn't found on the North basin, then perhaps Ioneer might consider progressing the North basin as plan B.
