Guessing the cancelled permits were part of the overall mediation agreement since I haven't seen it mentioned previously in any release and they're very proactive on that front- if the permits had been cancelled any time earlier there would have been little reason for them to bother coming to an agreement with INR since they would already be barred from exploration.
Interesting they omit to mention the agreement also bars the Centre from using the main access road to visit the project, or that Ioneer is still allowed to use heavy machinery for reclamation anywhere other than that one area 30 feet from a plant population.
Pretty obvious why INR would agree to this- all the DFS exploration work is already done. If they decided they were going to try and get in some last minute extension drilling that would be impacted, but not sure they've given any indication they were planning that- also looks like if they were going to put in further access roads pre-environmental approval they might have to avoid that.
Ironically i'm wondering if the heavy machinery work that set them off on the court case was actually environmental reclamation work to begin with. .
