Jayson1.....mining and offshore oil rig companies deal with cyclone threats in that area every year. Cyclone evac plans are put in place and the operation is secured as best as posible.
Damage does occur, but that is part of the operational hazard of the area. On shore mining operations have cyclone built dongas etc to take most of the 'brunt' of the storm, but must clean up and replace damaged infrastructure if unlucky enough to take a direct hit.
