    I guess the reason we are interested in EON is because of the potential share price boost. However we are only a very small shareholder (some of the even longer timers than me could possibly assign a %). As I understand it Senetas put money into EON and some years ago wrote that off which is fairly normal accounting practice when an asset isn’t performing.

    while it would be nice to assign a value to EON, realistically the only way that would happen would be if they did a capital raising, in which case the amount paid for new shares would give a value, or listing would also do it. I am not sure people would pay much attention to any other sort of valuation.

    the only way Senetas could get some of the profits, would be if EON, elected to pay all shareholders a dividend, or did a capital return and that’s not likely given it’s still growing and needs capital. It’s very unusual for high growth companies, particularly in the USA, to pay a dividend.
