Coronavirus has spread to space & satellite infections have 'exploded', infected satellites are being ejected to Mars orbits as a quarantine measure.
All intercontinental ballistic missiles have been stood down by all opposing powers as they do not want to accidentally spread coronavirus to other countries by launching potentially infected missiles at each other.
All wars have been cancelled and/or put on hold as a precaution against troops infecting each other. As it is unclear at this stage how long this halt in wars will continue, all defence contracts have been postponed/cancelled till the situation becomes clear.
