The event was index fund rebalance as per announcement 03/03. 17th was the last trading day before the rebalance (EOS were removed from all ords index) so in my layman opinion that would have been the shares they had available to them to get rid of. The rest will I guess need to be returned so they can get rid of them as they have no reason to hold them in the index fund anymore.
Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge on how that all works could comment?
