I think the other comments to come out were; : that crows is flying and teh chances of 800 per yr going forward seem pretty much guaranteed, given the army will be funded in July 06. The space stuff is still very much alive and well, but I get the impression after speaking to that Northrop guy that things are definately moving. Northrop have now doubled the number of people working with EOS on space. He won't comment but said if you read the int press on space you will see their is urgency on this issue. The loss came largely from 2 telescopes, one was a polishing problem which they have always outsourced and will likely on sell anyway and the other was due to weather conditions not enabling istallation. As they said at the AGM, telescopes is only a small part of their business (and they have some insurances in place). I also did the average Melb house yesterday but fundamentally this company is in good shape, just poorly understood. I now hope they don't take it private.
