SP artillery itself does not need an RWS. The Hanwha/EOS collaboration is for the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle (based on a ROK IFV) which is one of the 2 IFVs shortlisted for the big Australian Land 400 program for final decision in 2022. That fact that Aust has gone Hanwha for SP artillery and it is putting in a production and maintenance facility here shows that we are happy with their stuff and also there are many common elements to the ammunition supply vehicles and the ROK IFV on which Redback is based. The SP gun decision may be a positive for prospects for the Redback but in any event whatever IFV is finally selected for Land 400 EOS would likely provide the RWS.
