Flora and Vegetation: Assess
Terrestial Fauna: Assess
Terrestial Environmental Quality: Do not assess
Inland Waters: Assess
Social Surroundings: Assess
Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Assess
Air quality: Assess
The only category to escape assessment is the plant!
Reasons given for some categories are that insufficient surveys or no modelling done.
I can imagine how frustrating this must be for the company. How do you model Social Surroundings or Greenhouse gas emissions? How do they resolve differences between desktop surveys and field surveys?
It's so pedantic. Why wouldn't they arrange joint field surveys or provide inhouse modelling techniques to VRX? For example, mitigation of the mining on Carnaby Cockatoo's foraging area seems simple enough but if the EPA insists on 100 year old trees for nesting then what? They have the options readily available to make this incredibly difficult. All environmental damage has to be repaid via offsets providing more positives than the negatives created. You're right, we could be waiting until 2030. By then the EPA should have scared off almost all retail investors and Delphi can just walk in and buy it for 1c a share.
