I think the health bureaucrats tend to throw more money at a problem to try to make it go away instead of admitting they made a mistake and try to look at alternate situations. There was a similar situation in Qld Health with their failed payroll system.
Hopefully there is more going on behind the scenes with this one, would certainly be a big feather in the hat for Alcidion to step in here with a superior system to fix this mess.
