Advent (via RPS Energy) lodged the environmental referrals on 16 Sept, so the deadline for a decision on whether a referred action requires further assessment will be tomorrow. If no news tomorrow, approval for exploratory drill likely within 20 business days - by Nov 10.

"Environmental assessments – As discussed below, statutory timeframes under the EPBC Act are short. The decision on whether a referred action requires further assessment must be made within 20 business days of the referral being made.
Depending on the type of assessment, the approval decision must be made within 20 to 40 business days on receipt of the final assessment report. For the 2007-2008
financial year approximately 90% of these decisions were made on time and delays were kept to a minimum.".
RPS Energy look like 'the goods'
from their website http://www.rpsgroup.com/getdoc/1692739b-8efe-4fa0-a8be-5a74c3ad2375/Energy.aspx
"RPS managed one of the world's largest ever Environmental impact assessments, linked to the commercialisation of untapped gasfields representing 25% of Australia's gas reserves" - I guess that's the Browse basin?
