Without news I see this drifting back to 23 (1st support) and I genuinly hope 21 (2nd support) to close the gap which will also see us in the O/S range and at the bottom of the BB's. Here I expect it to hold and bounce between support and resistance until news.
Now as you clearly pointed out on news large moves can be expected and if the news is solid you can expect the large moves to hold, but as yesterday was on no news, and it doesn't seem to be a leaky ship then it is unsustainable and again the reason it drifted back. You say hind sight, but if you saw the chart you would have seen it was well outside the BB's and overbought yesterday and so you would expect it to be a red day today.
*Disclaimer that I dont always say but I would expect people to know, is that news obviously changes the dynamics and the charts will change to reflect this including the BB's and the RSI, so the BB's will always "mean a thing"
