I am a long term holder of this stock, and now that the dust is starting to settle on the takeover deal,it's starting to look more attractive. Both CGG and EQN ticked up last Friday - I take this as a positive sign.
One thing that does intrigue me is the recent remark by a CGG officer that they would annouce a farm in partner on the Hail prospect during the middle of next year, with the EQN cash flow, will this partner still be required.
Re the deal in general, we get size and size does matter in the mining game, we also get a bit of U to add to the Cu. Au. Ag. Zn.
