Maggie i think they have acquired more than 100m shares since the 5th September , the net short position was 3.8m on 3rd September and over next 2 days rose to 40.8m by 5th of September however there were only a total of 14.1m shares traded on market for those 2 days ,which doesn't add up unless they sold them off market or were late in reporting , but baring that, 200m shares have traded from 3rd Sept to today and the net short position has only increased by 12m max to total 52m since then
so i think they have acquired at least a 100m of the 200m traded and are capping it at 42c ATM and buying everything at 41.5c
and if 42 gets taken out they will cap it at 42.5 etc until they have got their fill , which could be still a while away
at the moment they are struggling to get the price down , mainly due to a lack of sellers and the sell order above 42 is stacked with their own orders to hold it down
