Still obsessed with food stamps and debt in the USA, better check Aussie out, more unemployment and more welfare handouts there than in the US.
1929? That's a goldbug pipe-dream, too bad you're not on the US equities gravy train, it's free money, has been for years, problem is you're locked into the Armageddon syndrome, thinking that the 'bottom's in' at $1,600.
Checked out the airline and transportation stocks? Even nearly bankrupt QF has gone ballistic.

As you know I visited the USA very regularly until recently, lots of HELP WANTED signs in the windows and new cars on the road, signs that it's all good, never been that bad, bars and restaurants were always doing well.

Good here too, property on a tear, Chinese pouring money in to get the hell out of China , equities are up, plenty of jobs, new cars, retail sales, beef price.

Does it get any better? Don't think so, it's nirvana.
