Read these three pages on Majuba. It contains just about everything might want to know.

To sum it up: There have been delays at Majuba caused by technical issues (ironically, most of them don't seem to be UCG-burn related but rather geological, drilling etc) but plans are still on track for 40MW by 2013. While Carbon is aiming for the dizzying heights of a 20MW plant, and still can't get their 5MW working, Eskom is still (as of mid-2009) planning on a whopping 2100MW of UCG power generation by 2020 - using Ergo technology!
