Thanks for posting the link to the transcript mattcwilliams. It was a long, but interesting read.

The only real concern I have is in relation to the comments made on page 28 regarding potential conflict with the Native Title Act, and that if the agreement is inconsistent, it is of no effect. Specifically, the comments that if the opposition’s preliminary advice is correct; Buru and its Partners are being sold a pup because they will not get the suspension from the relinquishment provisions if this agreement is inconsistent with the Native Title Act.

I know the Premier addressed these concerns later in the debate, but I would be interested to hear the thoughts of any lawyers amongst us, or anyone with a detailed understanding of the legislation.
