Erik Jensen was in Narsaq early in 2019, below. Seems he was very balanced then, so the question is whether he has moved one way or the other since, particularly considering GML's recently approved EIA which should have addressed some of his 2019 concerns.

The concern for what the mining project at Kuannersuit means to the local community came on the agenda at a citizens' meeting in Narsaq on Saturday.
Naalakersuisoq for raw materials Erik Jensen held a citizens 'meeting in Narsaq on Saturday, and one of the citizens who had met up for the citizens' meeting is Mariane Paviasen. She is opposed to the mining project at Kuannersuit and chairman of the association Urani Naamik - Narsaq. Mariane Paviasen believes that the project helps to slow down the development of Narsaq. The prospect of a large open mine with uranium extraction prevents the development of, among other things, tourism and agriculture, she believes. Compared to the worries, naalakkersuisoq says Erik Jensen: - There are some different views on the project. Both party political and inatsisartut and so on. I can understand her concern. I was responsive, and that is why we hold our citizens' meetings down here because we just want to hear the people, says Erik Jensen and continues: - But there is also someone in the population who wants to get started on it. But again it should not be at the expense of other things such as sheep keepers, potato breeding and anything else that runs well. We should not hurt that. READ ALSO The expertgroup will prepare citizens in South Greenland for mine hearings At the citizens' meeting, Erik Jensen referred among other things to the fact that the legislation places a large number of demands on mining projects, and so far no political position has been taken on the Kuannersuit project: - So we have legislation to ensure people's health and the environment. Only when the requirements have been met will the Government of Greenland and the rest of the political level decide what it is that you should proceed with. Erik Jensen's citizens' meeting is followed up by a number of citizen meetings in February, where there will be experts from several departments in the Self Government present. These meetings will focus on preparing citizens to participate in any future hearings of EIA and SIA reports.
