The Erin story has been out there since last Thursday. Since then we are up five pips despite a cool off this afternoon.
Second point is that Petronas and FAR are more than able to pick up the tab for Samo. Does the Gambia government want delays in drilling Samo? No. Do Erin’s creditors want delays? No. Does Erin’s administrator want delays? No.
And of all these, The Gambia government has the strongest cards should it choose to play them, and these cards may well favour FAR and Petronas. All IMO.
