There was an updated satellite image available today and even though there was wispy cloud I could see enough to make out additional drill pads have been prepped in the last 5 days. I couldn't see any evidence that any drilling had started but should only be a matter of time before they begin.
The image below is an overlay of the geological interpretation of the Meadows target following the last drilling there in 2023 - the two yellow pins indicate the drilling undertaken then and the clusters of blue pins are the locations of the pads which I have observed.
It would look to me like they are targeting the blue coloured "Banded Iron Formation" faults or the areas where these interact with the basement rocks. We know they have carried out a 3D IP survey since the previous drilling which has hopefully helped to zone in on these targets but with 30 pads identified to date it may end up being in excess of the 8000m of drilling they have flagged
We have long known of Shaun's excitement about the possibilities at EG but understandably it has taken a back seat whilst the more pressing issues at Telfer & Havieron took precedent - with the size of this drilling campaign he seems to be looking to step it up a gear down here now. Any good hit down here will set the cat amongst the pigeons.
