Human rights? I actually don't know because I see this used as a catch all term for a variety of things and I'm somewhat ignorant on what it means in every context. There are a number of European countries that you may consider "woke" on one metric and the complete opposite on others. It's a very difficult thing to pick up and move to another country which means everyone should give it careful thought to make sure the place aligns with what they personally want for their life. The more research the better. More conversations with others who are also looking to go somewhere new, or have been somewhere. The anglosphere really seems to be going downhill though. Just not enough people who want to be productive for the enjoyment of being successful. Or they've given up hope.

I absolutely love to stay with friends in Tuscany and generally like the Italians of the country regions. However, t's not the place for modernity. The institutions are archaic and the civil servants are lethargic and doing you a favour just to consider talking to you! And that opinion is from my local Italian mate and his family!
