Yes, it's big for a country. And yes, it's got many beautiful places. But for a beautiful places to big country ratio - it's really rather dull.
In many countries in Europe - one is spoiled for choice in stunningly beautiful places - all short distances away from each other.
In Oz in many places - people have to go a long long long long long way to be in parts of the country that can be described as awesomely beautiful.
Take the centre of Oz - which I think is beautiful - but, it's a long long way from say the forests of NQ or the beauty of Tasmania. etc,
Whereas in somewhere like France - one is peering out the window in almost any car drive at the what seems continual splendour of the passing landscape.
You find just plain normal as beautiful - then, you get totally bowled over by things like the Alps or Burgundy or Brittany - and that's just a few to mention - all within a few hours travel by car or train. Whereas in Oz - it takes forever by car or hours by plane to go from spectacular site to site.
And as far as all one needs is in Oz - well, it depends on what one feels one needs ---------- if you are talking history and culture -
then no, sorry - Oz is a babe in the woods there.
I love Oz dearly - but, it is just not all there is to see. Indeed - let's be honest, it's really quite a backwater.
