In most cities in Australia there is a constant wave of people who move out to the wide outdoors of big blocks for the children and space for pets and men's toys, then after a few years they miss the convenience of the city being close to everything and the fact that the children don't go out in the big block but want to be ferried all over the globe to visit friends, football, various activities etc.
This movement has been happening in Melbourne for at least the last 100 years so will continue.
Yes it can be called "the grass is greener" syndrome
