I personally think ramifications will be more hatred of chinese people overseas because the argument is that we have been lied to by liars. My wife is chinese descent and proud of it. This is a big issue to me. I take it personally that my wife has been warning everyone that we should not ignore island building but Ausaid and dfat all ignore it on basis of political correctness(all informal corridor talk of course). We have been more occupied by political correctness distractions. Literally my wife would say "you all know it is happening so do something about it" Real intentions were not transparent back then 20 years ago or more.
