Hopefully I can explain what eSense is all about.

There is evidence that the medicinal benefits of marijuana can be enhanced through some synergistic effect of the different 'flavours' of different strains of weed.  These flavours stem from chemicals known as Terpenes/Terpenoids.  These are what give most plants, fruits and spices their flavour.  Marijuana can contain 100's of these terpenes in various ratios.

What eSense do is profile the terpenes, quantify them and then produce a replica of the terpene profile using pure terpenes derived from other, more abundant and cheaper sources.  This method produces a terpene concentrate that is identical to the terpene profile of the marijuana profile.

The oils that are produced don't contain any THC (the psychoactive drug in weed) so thus don't fall under the tight regulatory control of marijuana products.

The eSense process can be applied to a variety of other markets, as mentioned saffron is one, but i can see truffles and sandalwood being a target market.  Basically any market that is based around rare flavours is a market eSense could approach.

I'm sure this is going to fly . Terpenes $20k per litre. target more than 100litre per day. now do the maths.
