You are correct . ESG people and STO people did travel to Japan to further investigate NLNG . I was told this by IK shortly after the SOA came out.
This came up in conversation because I queried the sale of the Kooragang island site which was mentioned in the deed between STO and TRU.
As to DC's role in this event and the subsequent effect on the outcome of the merger , I don't know anything else. I did , however , attempt to speak to DC on several occasions in order to learn more about the circumstances . This was unsuccessful as he wouldn't take my calls . I couldn't even get past his secretary.
