While everybody is justifiably concentrating on the SP and when will we be seeing a Finance Announcement...........?

In the interim, lets not ignore the basic principles underlying the foundation of Pensana..

That the whole Electric Revolution is taking place is due to a World wide realization that we can not continue to operate with Hydrocarbons as our Energy source. Luckily Technology has recently managed to come up with a viable alternative, suffice to say we all know those details.

However, Pensana is not just about providing the Rare Earths that are critical to this Revolution. Our Board of Directors (and hopefully we Shareholders), have decided that the mining of the riches of Longonjo, should not only benefit Pensana. But that as many people as possible should benefit from the Companies activities. To do this the Company has declared its commitment to ESG and the Equator Principles.

While the basic Environmental commitments are fairly obvious ie minimize as far as possible (note not practical) creating any pollution, To not cause any unavoidable harm to the Local Inhabitants and to fully compensate should any harm be caused etc. The companies commitment goes way beyond these basic tenets.

Pensana proposes to actively promote and enrich the Social enrichment of the Local population, not only by providing direct employment, but also by helping Locals to develop Industries that can benefit the Local / Angolan economy. Angola was a leading Coffee producer prior to its troubles, That mining and agriculture can be compatible will surprise many, but consider that: the opening up of Longonjo will bring power, water and transport infrastructure into the area, and that mine waste dumps contain trace elements that promote plant growth. However as we all know having a product without a buyer means little, which is why Pensana's assistance will again value add to the Local industry by using its connections and supply chain connections to introduce Angolan Coffee to the UK Markets.

That Mining is/was traditionally a Male (Physical) domain is probably one of the reasons it is still considered an almost unsavory occupation by ,most in society ! That may have been the case fifty years ago but with todays mechanization, brains have become more productive than brawn ! (a fact I realized in under an hour after watching my first female truck driver thirty years ago). Since then I have seen the fairer sex move into every facet of the Mining Industry. Pensana's active support for Women in STEM seeks to take this philosophy to the next step and use it to help empower the women of Angola, thus also helping to counter the shortages of the working age population.

So while there are still some Companies and Investors that would eagerly purse drilling an Oil well in the Antarctic, I for one have realized that for the sake of our Grandchildren, Miners should no longer continue to ignore their surroundings but realize that with a little thought they that can create Win - Win situations for all. Which is a Business Plan that I consider to be worth investing in..
